Odilon JIM was bred in Mexico at Hacienda Santa
Lucia, the ranch of prestigious breeder, Federico
Jimenez (JIM) Saenz and was imported to the
United States by
Gremlan Farms.

Odilon represents some of the finest bloodlines of
the breed.  His sire, the peerless Indiano XVIII, is a
two-time Spanish National Champion, a Grand
National Champion of Mexico, and a best
movement champion in the United States.  His
dam’s sire is Jerez, one of the highest ranked
horses in the Spanish Book of Merits (LIMPRE).

Odilon has substantial bone, is straight moving,
and has wonderful gaits. Odilon competed heavily
as a young horse, and at age 19, he is still ridden

In 2005, Odilon was the personal mount of Sabine Schut-Kery for exhibitions at  Dressage at Devon and at the
Southwest Dressage Championships.  Sabine is one of the top dressage riders and trainers in the United
States, and she has summed up Odilon as a performance horse in one word—“awesome.”  

Odilon is retired from stud service for outside mares.
